Who we are

ConstructionTally is made by Tech with you LLC ("we"). Questions about privacy: support@constructiontally.app.

The short version

ConstructionTally works on your device. You do not need an account. We do not show ads, we do not track you across apps or websites, and the apps contain no third-party analytics or advertising code.

What stays on your device

The sizes you enter, your calculations, projects and settings (language, units, region) are stored only on your phone or tablet. We cannot see them. Deleting the app deletes them.

Diagnostics

To find and fix problems, the app records short diagnostic events: crashes, errors and warnings, with an event code, the app and operating-system version, the device model, your language and region setting, a random diagnostics ID created on your device, and, for calculator problems, the numbers entered into that calculator (in metric units). Diagnostics never include your name, email, phone number, address, client or project names, notes, photos, prices, or anything you type as free text.

In the current version these events stay on your device. When uploading is added, events will be sent to our server only while "Share diagnostics" is on (Settings, on by default for errors and crashes). They are analyzed to group and fix issues and then deleted; raw events are never kept longer than 7 days. Only anonymous issue summaries are kept. You can turn "Share diagnostics" off at any time, which also clears the events stored on the device, and you can reset your diagnostics ID.

Our website

constructiontally.app uses no cookies and no third-party trackers. It remembers your language choice and keeps calculator error events in your browser's local storage; they are not sent anywhere in the current version. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of delivering them. Emails you send to support@constructiontally.app are used only to answer you.

Features that are not available yet

Sign-in, sync with the web app, purchases, and AI features (for example a shopping-list check by OpenAI, or a construction assistant by Anthropic) are planned. Before any of them ships, this policy will be updated to say exactly what is collected, why, which provider receives it, and how to delete it, and the app will ask for your consent where required.

Children

ConstructionTally is a tool for construction work and is not directed at children under 13.

Your rights

Because your data stays on your device, you control it directly. For any request about diagnostics we may hold, email support@constructiontally.app with the diagnostics ID shown in Settings and we will delete matching data. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA) you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, and to complain to a data-protection authority.

Changes

We will post any change here and update the date above. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
